It’s been awhile but everything’s okay here, just busy and really lacking the get up and go required to keep current. I have to decide what to do with this blog because I can’t seem to get motivated to update it. I’m considering closing it down because it’s become a real job.

Chris has been working in Manhattan the past month which means he’s gone from Monday to Thursday. I really thought I would enjoy some solitude, but the truth is that I miss him terribly when he’s gone. I love his presence in our home. We talk, laugh and share things constantly. It’s too quiet without him. Once upon a time I loved living alone. It seems like a long time ago.

We had a good dinner with Jen and Jason at Bar Ferdinand in Northern Liberties the other night. It was one plate of tapas after another, really just fabulously good food and wine. My favorite was veal cheeks, wonderfully tender and tasty. I also had some perfectly done octopus. Chris was raving about his date and bacon empanadas. Major yums all around.

Lisa and I are taking Bella and Roon to dog obedience class which has been a hoot thus far. It’s all based on rewarding the dog with treats for good behavior - positive reinforcement. The woman running the class is amazing. Her dog is totally in line. It’s called Wonder Dogs, if you have a dog in need of some polishing.

I am down to working for just Bob and very happy with our arrangement. Working for Tom was fun, but he needed more time than I was willing to give. It’s a happy divorce though – I still have his office keys, and recently fed his cats for an entire weekend. I only work four hours a day for Bob so that frees me up to go to the gym, take the dog for long walks and get our house in shape. I am planning to paint our room soon which will be a big job, but I am ready. I am not thrilled with the current color combination.
